that visiting a church for the first time can be…uncomfortable. Hey, we’ve been there. Below we’ve provided a snap shot of what you’ll experience at one of our Worship Gatherings on a Sunday morning. Feel free to contact us with any questions prior to your initial visit.
What should I wear?
Wear whatever you want. Depending on the time of year, most people will wear jeans or shorts (including the pastors).
What will happen?
You’ll be greeted at the door when you arrive and there will be plenty of coffee and refreshments available, along with anything from U2 to Johnny Cash playing in the background. If you have children, you will find our nursery and Children’s Ministry (Kid Street) well-organized, well-run, and teeming with kids. During the Worship Gathering, we’ll begin with some music and then we’ll usually play a clip from a popular film or song that ties into the morning’s theme. The teaching will be out of the Bible, and our hope is that it will be meaningful for you. There is often a time after the teaching for any questions or comments. Occasionally we’ll incorporate communion or silent prayer into our time together, as well.
Who will be there?
Professionals, blue-collar workers, and college students – as well as young families, single adults and empty-nesters – all call Koinos Community Church home. Some people have been committed to Jesus for years; others would describe themselves as spiritually searching.
