Every Sunday morning at least one person will make a comment about all of the new faces at Koinos. It was not that long ago when one could easily match every face to a name. Some could even boast of knowing everyone at Koinos.

Today there are faces with us every week that I can not match to a name. And I think that is the way it is supposed to be.

The slow death of a Church begins when people feel they have their fill of friends. "I have people I hang out with at Koinos, I don't have time for anyone else." This is when a culture starts rotting and when God has left the building.

We believe that the Spirit of God compels us to connect with more people, enlarge our circle of friends, and just keep laying down the infrastructure to build more bridges. It requires creativity and work and re-adjusting. But people are worth it.

If you are fairly new to Koinos, I want to ask you to get involved and help speed up the process. Take the initiative: invite someone over to your place, look to pitch in somewhere, sign-up for the Journey Seminar.

The Journey Seminar is next Saturday, February 23, from 9:30am until 3:00pm at the Wyomissing Public Library. If you are new, you need to be there. We will discuss what it means to take Jesus Christ seriously, why a few of us started Koinos, what it means to go further with us and with God. We'll have plenty of time for conversation, a whole bunch of coffee, and we'll eat lunch together. You can sign-up Sunday morning, or simply reply to this email.

We believe that there are things our Creator will do in your life through Koinos. But most of those require you getting involved. Jesus didn't invite people to come and believe, he invited people to come and follow.

It will be interesting to see where he leads...

Love you all! Have a great weekend!

Brian

Words Worth Pondering

I'm not at all religious, but I am a very spiritual person.
